Available on Monday only - Truly an unforgettable Maui experience! The entire excursion is packed with hiking and sightseeing. The day's premier stop is the National Park at Oheo Gulch, where guests will experience the extraordinary Pipiwai Trail, whose features include a dramatic 400ft waterfall, incredible bamboo forest, and lush jungle. It's an epic day with a multitude of postcard moments, on both the rugged coastal exterior of the island and in the thriving interior of the rainforest. We'll hike 4.5 miles in Maui's National Park at Kipahulu. This area is sometimes referred to as the "Seven Sacred Pools," but it's so much more - a network of delightful pools and cascading waterfalls. Guests will see several falls: 45 feet, 200 feet, and 400 feet; acres of towering bamboo; and a captivating rainforest. Circumnavigate East Maui, including the famous Road to Hana, on the van ride to and from the trailhead. Nutritious lunch and snacks included. DIFFICULTY RATING: Challenging-More demanding due to total miles covered, somewhat strenuous terrain, elevation gain/loss, and length of time in the van. * 7:00am - 6:00pm from our Kahului Park & Ride meeting location. * Total hiking distance is approximately 4.5 miles. * Minimum age is 8. * Maximum number of hikers per tour is 10. * We run our tours in most weather conditions, but reserve the right to alter tour parameters if safety issues arise. A few key details to note: * The highlight of the tour is the renowned Pipiwai Trail: a 4.5-mile roundtrip hike through the "bamboo forest" within Haleakala National Park at Kipahulu. The trail culminates at the incomparable 400-ft Waimoku Falls. * There are several other photo-op and restroom stops on the tour (excluding Waianapanapa State Park). * If there's a particular stop guests are interested in, they can let their guide know and s/he will do their best to accommodate. * Hotel transfers are not available. Guests meet at the Kahului park & ride lot at 7 a.m. The tour concludes at approximately 6 p.m. * Private tours are also available. The all-inclusive price for up to 10 guests is $2,852.10.
