DESCRIPTION
From December to April, the shallow basin between the four islands of Maui County (Maui, Lanai, Molokai, and Kahoolawe) is the preferred destination of the endangered Humpback Whale. Migrating thousands of miles from the cold waters of Alaska to these warm Hawaiian waters, Humpback Whales come here each year to mate and give birth.
A marine naturalists infuse your first-hand experience of these magnificent creatures with everything science can tell us about their fascinating lives. With the aid of an on-board hydrophone, well listen to Humpback Whales as they talk, communicate and sing with one another.
